Work
We spend a lot of our time at work. Most of us have to do it to earn a living.
And yet, the data coming out of the FormScore app, show that work is consistently rated as a negative driver of our Form.
Work is a drain on our Form.
Why is this?
Due to things you have no control of, like the work environment, or the people we work with.
And things you have control of, like your job and what you do.
How to improve your form in relation to your work:
Find your 'why'. Does work give you a sense of meaning and purpose? Is it fulfilling and enjoyable?
What do you enjoy the most, and least, in what you do?
Spend more time working on the things you enjoy the most.
Delegate some of the things you don't enjoy to someone else who may enjoy them.
Say no to some things that are not as important.
This will make work more enjoyable; it will make you feel happier and more productive. You'll get more things done. And work can become more of a force for good for you.
What are you good at? This might be different from what you enjoy.
What are the things are you not so good at? Try to do more of the things you are good at.
Delegate some of the things you are not good at to someone else who is more effective at delivering them.
Rebalance your work portfolio to focus on things that you enjoy, are good at and that align with your purpose, your 'why'.
And finally, think if you are doing the right job. And if not, don't be afraid to look at making change.
