Be in the moment for a second…

Being mindful is about being very much in the moment.

  • Focusing on the here and now. The present is all we have. The past is the past. It's gone. We can't influence it. The future is about an idea.

  • Being present in more of the things that we do, can keep us centered and in balance, and can help us deal with the stresses of life.

How to be more present?

  • Listen to the sounds around you, focus on your breath, do a quick body scan, and see how you feel.

What are the things that you enjoy doing, that when you do, you are completely present and in the moment?

It could be gardening, woodworking, cycling, painting, listening to music.

  • Are you doing enough of them? Can you do more?

  • Can you think of ways to bring more of those mindful activities into your routine?
