Energy

Sleep, exercise, and nutrition are some of the drivers of form that have an input on our energy.

  • How well have we slept?

  • Have we exercised recently?

  • Are we eating well to fill our energy reserves?

Think of energy like a battery.

  • Stress, activities, and challenges will drain that battery.

  • Sleep, moments of reflection, and moments of recovery, will charge that battery.

The problem is that we often keep draining the battery and don't take enough time to recharge it.

We often move from stress and pressure to overload, to exhaustion, which leads to burnout.

Now, the problem is not stress itself. The problem is that we're not recovering from the stress.

Building awareness of what your energy is like:

  • What is your energy?

  • How has it been over the last seven days?

  • How has it been over the last month?

  • Do you feel fatigued?

  • Do you feel lethargic, even if you slept well?

  • Do you have a sense of detachment?

  • Are you excited about the day ahead?

  • Are you engaged?

Don't forget to recharge:

  • Keep taking breaks in the day.

  • Keep doing the things that make you happy.

  • Keep spending time with the people that make you happy.

It's ok if you're not on high energy. You just need to take the time to reflect on it, to start building on it.
